About Pastor Nielsen
Pastor Mike Nielsen and Emily came to Trinity (and St. Paul's) on July 27, 2014 following four years of service at St. James and St. Paul's Lutheran Churches in Necedah and New Miner, WI. Trinity and St. Paul's is his second parish after he graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO with his M.Div. in May 2010. Pastor Mike grew up in Antigo, WI. While living in Antigo, he attended Peace Lutheran Church and School (the home church and school of President Fondow) and also Antigo High School. After high school, he went to Concordia University in St. Paul, MN and then transferred to Concordia University in Mequon, WI. He received a BA in Pre-Seminary Studies.
Pastor Nielsen is currently enrolled at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis working towards a Doctor of Ministry degree. His emphasis is in Catechesis and Family Education.
Pastor Nielsen and Emily enjoy spending time in God's wonderful creation, which includes taking walks, spending time in the yard, gardening and exploring Northwest Minnesota and Northeast North Dakota. They have also found a taste for cooking whether that is together or at separate times. Pastor and Emily have two daughters and a son, Hannah and Miriam and Jonah, and spoiled dog named Simon.
Pastor Nielsen and Emily's hope and prayer is that all people would come to faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. They both minister to the people in the Fisher area in their own unique opportunities. They invite you to come and grow in your faith either at Trinity or St. Paul's. Please stop by and visit if you have any questions or contact Pastor Nielsen at rev.mike.nielsen@gmail.com
